I have two shrubs which have just come into leaf and I've just bought a dark leaf one which I hope is as prolific. The colour of your blue jug is so striking and echoes the bluebells and vinca perfectly. I guess the weigela is the variegated one? Those leaves are huge. I'm thinking of the little leaves I have on my own plant. We are at least a week, and probably two, behind my mothers garden in town 10 miles north from here. I've seen lilac and Clematis montana in full flower where ours are still in tight bud. The Hawera were the last daffodils to come out but so worth the wait.
