I just had a little look at Cosmos seeds but can't make a choice so far. I have plenty of time though. I also cut the stamens of lilies off, but not because of the dripping, but because it means they don't smell quite so much. ;-) (We have sensitive noses in our house!)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5059858774072695860.post-71254718306792944242017-08-14T21:54:00.520+01:002017-08-14T21:54:00.520+01:00Yes the pollen is a nuisance but I don't want ...Yes the pollen is a nuisance but I don't want to denude the flowers completely. Whenever I do have lilies, I also remove the stamens to avoid having the pollen dye everything it touches. I've found that sunflowers are similarly sloppy with their pollen but that pollen seems to vacuum up without leaving permanent stains as lilies do.Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5059858774072695860.post-33157977142328973432017-08-14T17:56:29.442+01:002017-08-14T17:56:29.442+01:00Why, thank you. It's the only one which germinated/survived. <br />I love it when I am artistic by accident. The best vase would probably have been the one above with the red and white in it. I agree that it can be so difficult finding just the right vase for our blooms - the shape and size makes such a difference, even more so than the colour. After one of my vases was finished (can't remember which)I had little piles of different coloured pollen underneath which looked quite artistic really!
