The netting is green and the squares are about - 10-15cm. They must be square and the net stretched tight. I use it everywhere and it does work though it's annoying when things get tangled in it. Sadly a number of plants at the allotment didn't make it through the winter. Oh well I've got a good excuse for some retail therapy come next spring :)Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10794392333038962798noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5059858774072695860.post-32394638497710022522019-07-01T19:01:26.982+01:002019-07-01T19:01:26.982+01:00The Ammi majus is lovely all on its own, Alison. ...The Ammi majus is lovely all on its own, Alison. I'm not sure the age of the cats matters with respect to vases. My 12 year old cat will go after a vase if she thinks it's getting attention that should be directed to her.

I look forward to seeing your dahlias in bloom. I tried 'Penhill Dark Monarch' last year but the tuber rotted before sprouting. Just 2 of this year's crop (small by comparison to yours!) are blooming this far, 'Enchantress' and 'Labyrinth' but I've got buds a few others.Kris Petersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07097260283693156795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5059858774072695860.post-62994152798351092652019-07-01T14:39:28.675+01:002019-07-01T14:39:28.675+01:00Doesn't that look stunning in a vase?!! Let me know how you get on with the netting and what size and type of mesh you use - if successful, it reduces the need for staking. Lots of lovely dahlias to come!Cathyhttp://ramblinginthegarden.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5059858774072695860.post-89507984296497043552019-07-01T13:10:20.870+01:002019-07-01T13:10:20.870+01:00So much movement and exuberance with just one type...So much movement and exuberance with just one type of flower - wonderful!sandra dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13298288244781162035noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5059858774072695860.post-73057483785704116672019-07-01T11:42:09.051+01:002019-07-01T11:42:09.051+01:00Ammi majus! I have some young plants coming along but I sowed them very late and apart from recent days, it has been pretty cold here so they have taken some time to grow! I had some in my last garden and absolutely loved it! In fact I had some in the greenhouse, along with a few of the rose geranium plants and the two together were just lovely! Your vase is a delightful reminder of how glorious that flower is! Thank you.
